A statement on the school's official facebook page reads:
"NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS ON SUSPENSION OF ALL STUDENT UNION ACTIVITIES
At an emergency meeting of the Expanded Management Committee held on Monday, June 6, 2016, a decision was taken to the effect that all Student Union activities be suspended with immediate effect and until further notice. Management has also set up an investigation panel to examine all aspects of the 2016 Student Union election in all its ramifications.
Clergyman and social critic, Tunde Bakare, has said there would be no elections in the country until he lifts an “injunction” he placed on it. He claimed to have predicted the poll shift by demonstrating with a chair he placed on the altar in his church during a previous worship service. Bakare is the Senior Pastor, Latter Rain Assembly and one time vice presidential candidate to General Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC.
